Two more sleeps!! Packing is at a standstill. I did however buy a new yummy jacket yesterday after 8 hours of shopping looking for a top. I never found the top I wanted but could not resist the jacket after trying it on. It is super comfortable and will be perfect on the plane. I bought it at Lululemon Athletica.
I have been trying to decide “yay” or “nay” on the midweight long underwear bottoms. I always take my lightweight. Below 60 degrees is winter weather to me. Hopefully if the weather forecasts are correct, I won’t be needing my new jacket very often and will be fine if the long underwear stay home.
After over a month of rain and cold weather, this is the predicted weather forecast for the day I will arrive in Santa Margherita Ligure. It looks like it will be a perfect day.
And in metric…
As for that top, I guess I will just have to do a little shopping while in Italy (and ignore the euro/dollar exachange rate).
Ahhhh, I saw you had a new post from my fancy, new blog roll. How exciting for you, to be on the eve of departure! :)

I do love Lululemon, great quality stuff — I hope you enjoy your new jacket.
The weather looks perfect, not too hot, not too cold. Hopefully, you won’t even need the lightweight long underwear!
Have fun shopping (and have fun in everything else you’ll be doing in Italy) and good luck with the packing!!!

I’ve been away for a few days in cool San Diego and I was afraid I was going to miss the ‘buon viaggio’ party. Got home just in time to wish you a fabulous trip! I look forward to reading all about it on your blog and seeing the pictures.
What a wonderful story about reconnecting with old friends. I can imagine how excited you are to meet Francesco and his family.
Your quart size zip lock bag looks so organized and tidy. I’ll have to look for nalgene bottles.
A bit late but congratulations on the Celtic’s win. I was in San Diego on the day of the win so there wasn’t much cheering around. On Tuesday I was in Little Italy and the cheers could be heard around the neighborhood after Italy’s win over France on the European Soccer Cup.
The weather looks good for your arrival in SML. I’m green with envy. I wish I was there and not in 113F in Arizona. Enjoy and take lots of pictures!

Oh girasoli, contemplating long underwear with weather like that…just goes to show the difference between living in Hawaii and living in Nova Scotia! I’m mopping the sweat off my brow just looking at that 28C, feels like 32!! But it is a perfect beach temp (unfortunately I’m not at the beach!)

I have decided against the midweight long underwear, but the lighter ones always go with me. Gotta be prepared just in case it drops below 60 while walking around in the evening.
Sandra, this was my first lululemon experience. I am sure I will be back for more, hopefully during a sale next time. The weather does look perfect, doesn’t it?
María, glad you are ok. I was starting to worry when you weren’t posting. It was exciting seeing the Celtics win once again :) I’m hoping Italy will win on Sunday so I will get to experience the soccer madness once again (I was there for the 2006 World Cup win). Those nalgene bottles are wonderful.
Anne, it is funny how it is all relative to where you live (to an extent), although when I lived in Massachusetts I was always cold. I hope you get some nice beach weather when you have time to get to the beach this summer.
Annie & Amy, thanks sooo much!!
Chiocchiola :) regarding the long underwear.
Thanks everyone!! I will be on the plane at this time tomorrow :)

HI Girasoli,
Wow, is it that time already! 15 hours to go . . . . that’s so cool that the weather will be perfect for your arrival. I wish I was going to Italy too. Have a nice gelato for all of us . . . and most importantly, have a wonderful time. I’ll be looking forward to hearing all about it.
