sunset at Haleiwa Beach Park

One afternoon after work many months ago, I spontaneously drove up to the North Shore (with an older digital camera).  I hung out on the beach for a while.  I packed up and started heading home when the sun was about to set because I don’t like driving home in the dark from the North Shore. I didn’t get far though. After driving only a few minutes, I could not resist stopping at Haleiwa Beach Park to take a few photos of this beautiful view. I ended up driving home in the dark after all, but it was worth it.

Although a little blurry, this is one of my favorite photos.

  1. Oh my stars! what an incredible photo!
Hey – I just completed another of my coffee table books – I’m about to publish it. They have just increased the quality of the paper – it’s fun making my own picture books. :)
This new one will be 13″X11″ – so the actual picture size will be about 10.5″ square. Less than a dollar a page and one has a coffee table book – with top quality covers and printing.

  2. Hi Girasoli, Wow, that looks like a postcard! I love sunsets and especially when they are in a beautiful setting like Haleiwa! Gorgeous, we sure don’t get sunsets like that here.
BTW, that Crab and Shrimp melt sounds sooooo good!

  3. Glad you all enjoyed the photo. Haleiwa is one of my favorite places on Oahu.

Leslie, I am so envious!! That is one of my goals. I am a little closer to it now that I have this new computer that is much faster. What program are you using? Is it blurb?

Brenda, I have eaten at Jameson’s a couple of times. Food was ok both times but the view is always wonderful. I will have to try the Grilled Crab and Shrimp Melt the next time I am there.

  4. Do you know what, I think I’m just going to focus on our visit to Hawaii in June, and pictures like that one sure do make it easy! I can almost feel the warm evening breeze now.
