sky lanterns

The other night after our wagon ride and dinner, we went outside to fly two sky lanterns.

They are like miniature hot air balloons. It was pretty dark outside, so my photos are not the greatest.

Tonight is my last night in Steamboat. We will drive down to Denver tomorrow, stay overnight, and then my aunt and uncle will drive me to the airport for my flight home. I have had a great time. I have done a lot of things I have not done for a very long time. This will be a vacation I will not forget!

Buon Anno! ~ Hau’oli Makahiki Hou! ~ Happy New Year everyone!  Wishing you all the best in 2012!!

  3. Ah, Steamboat! I was wondering why you were wearing gloves! Then, I scrolled back. See you can’t keep the winter out of a born East Coast girl:0) Glad you seem to have enjoyed this vacation. Your photos (sunset) were spectacular! Happy New Year – Mele Kalikimaka!

Sandra, please say hello for me! How lucky you are to get to travel in Italy whenever you want. Have a great time!
Menehune, I have always loved snow. Favorite part of winter. I just never liked the cold that went with it.
Kathy, thanks! I adjusted pretty well, although woke up at 4 am for an entire week once I returned home. Tough getting back into the work thing though.
    Happy New Year everyone!! :)
