The Red Sox are the AL East Division Champions! They clinched last night with a win over Toronto. This is their first division title since 2007.

What makes this year’s title even sweeter is that the Red Sox went from worst to first! Last year the Red Sox finished in last place in the division with 93 losses. This year, not only are they in first place with 94 wins (so far with seven more games to go), but right now they have the best record in all of the MLB. I guess the so called experts (ESPN, MLB, etc) were wrong! Their pre-season predictions all placed the Red Sox in last place once again, except for one or two that placed them in 4th.

Let the playoffs begin!
