Friday, June 17th:
Friday was my last day of lessons with Andrea. The week flew by much too quickly. I had a lesson in the morning and then Daniela, Andrea’s wife, joined us for a lovely lunch.
I can still remember our conversation that day. Andrea & Daniela have a Nespresso machine. I told them that I have one too. During lunch, I mentioned to Daniela that I also have the Nespresso Aeroccino milk frother. She asked me lots of questions about this frother. I told her how easy it is to use and I that even saw one at the COIN store in Bologna. I remember Andrea telling me to stop talking to his wife about this machine. He did not want her to buy one. It turned into a pretty funny conversation.
After lunch, I had one more lesson with Andrea. We took a few photos in their yard and then I thanked them and said goodbye. Here is one of Andrea & Daniela.
After saying goodbye, I took the bus back to my apartment. In the afternoon, I walked around the center of Bologna taking more photos. That evening I ate dinner at Trattoria Leonida.
I learned so much from Andrea and will forever be grateful for the time I spent with him learning Italian & learning more about Italy. If you are ever looking for an Italian teacher to study with, I highly recommend studying in Bologna with Andrea Quarantotto of Bolognalingua. He is an excellent teacher!
Next up – Saturday ~ a visit to Ferrara
