When Alex Cora was hired last fall as the new Red Sox manager, instead of being concerned about his salary, etc, what he was most concerned about was having a plane full of supplies sent to his hometown in Puerto Rico. Alex Cora is a great manager. He is generous, selfless, smart, very humble, and he is a former Red Sox shortstop.
We all knew right from the start of this season that this was going to be a very special team… great defense, powerful bats, good pitching, a heart attack inducing closer, and no big egos on this team.
108 wins during the regular season. The Red Sox are indeed a very special team this year!
The Red Sox beat the Yankees in the ALDS 3 games to 1.

Thursday night (on Alex Cora’s birthday) the Red Sox punched their ticket to the World Series, beating the Astros 4 games to 1.

Jackie Bradley Jr. was awarded the well deserved ALCS MVP.

The World Series begins next Tuesday… Win or lose, I love this team!
GO SOX!!!! 💙⚾️❤️
*Update… The Dodgers just clinched the NLCS and have punched their ticket to the World Series. That means, two former Red Sox players (Alex Cora & Dave Roberts) will be managing the two teams playing in the World Series this year. That’s pretty cool! I love Dave Roberts, but I’m still rooting SOX!
